History
Xpressbees story can be traced back to 2012 when it was used primarily as a delivery service for FirstCry. With growing demand for logistics services in the country, the founders felt that Xpressbees could be launched as an independent logistics service provider. The aim was to allow Xpressbees to grow on its own and not limit it to operations related to FirstCry.
That's exactly what happened, as Xpressbees has been registering strong growth over the years. As of now, Xpressbees handles more than 3 million shipments per day. It has 3000+ offices and service centers, 52+ cargo airports, 100+ hubs, more than 10 lakh sq. ft. warehouse capacity and 35,000+ field executives.
Funding
Xpressbees has received investments worth $577.6 million via 9 rounds of funding. Some of the key investors include Blackstone Group, Chrys Capital, TPG Growth, Gaja Capital, Investcorp, Norwest Venture Partners, Alibaba Group and InnoVen Capital. In Series F funding in February 2022, Xpressbees had raised $300 million. With this, the valuation of the company zoomed to $1.2 billion, thereby achieving the coveted 'Unicorn' tag.
Acquisitions
Xpressbees has not made any acquisitions in recent years.
Competitors
Xpressbees competes with other logistics service providers such as Ecom Express, Delhivery, Shadowfax, DTDC, DHL and eKart Logistics.
