·        New Zealand - People in New Zealand sleep an average of 8 hours 4 minutes. The country is ranked 51st in terms of GDP and 10th in World Happiness Index.

·        France - People in France sleep 8 hours 3 minutes on an average. France's GDP is 7th largest in the world and it ranks 20th in World Happiness Index.

·        Australia - People in Australia sleep 8 hours 1 minute an average. The country is ranked at 14th place in terms of GDP and 12th in World Happiness Index.

·        Belgium - Average sleep time of people in Belgium is almost the same as that of people in Australia. Belgium has the 26th largest GDP in the world and ranks 19th in World Happiness Index.

Mexico was the second most tired nation in the world, with fatigue score of 7.01. At number three was Brazil, with fatigue score of 6.28. United Stated was fourth in the list, with fatigue score of 5.57. At number five was Japan, with fatigue score of 5.32.

As sleep is a key determinant of an individual's health and wellness and even the nation's wealth and progress, it is important that we get our daily dose of sleep.
