Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)

This is the flagship government upskilling program being run under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It is executed by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). A wide variety of government upskilling courses are available including job-oriented short term training courses.

Also popular is the free vocational training to the young people in the age group of 15 to 35 years. PMKVY government upskilling courses are available for various industry segments such as retail, healthcare, IT and manufacturing. National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)

Under FutureSkills Prime, candidates can access various courses and pathways. Experiential Project-Based Learning (ePBL) allows candidates to acquire industry-ready skills. Upon course completion, candidates get certified and are incentivized by the government.
